Eletronic Ticketing To Commence Soon: NRC Train Staff
Nigerian Railway Corporation has commenced the training of staff preparatory to the introduction of e-ticketing for rail services. Part of this effort was a two day workshop which held recently at Tip-Top Hotel Galaxy, Jabi-Abuja on November 4, and Thursday November 5, 2020. The workshop which was facilitated by Secure ID, an indigenous IT company was tagged PROJECT FOR THE DEPLOYMENT OF AUTOMATED FARE COLLECTION SOLUTION FOR NIGERIAN RAILWAY CORPORATION. Participants were drawn mainly from the commercial staff of the Operating and Commercial department including some top officers of the department from Ebute-Metta, the headquarters in Lagos. Accounts and Audit staff were also part of the training. Trainees were taken through demonstration processes of using the automated ticket sales machines at stations.
